The objective of this article was to gain insight into the community health practices of the Awá-Camawari indigenous people of the Vegas Chagüi Chimbuza reservation, situated within the Ricaurte municipality of the Nariño Department. The methodology was qualitative, with a review of the literature supported by the hermeneutical historical approach. Interviews were conducted with 16 informants and two petition rights holders. The findings indicate that there has been minimal progress in the community-differential health model. There are shortcomings in public health (...) policies for indigenous peoples, which have weaknesses and intermittencies that hinder changes. The practices are based on traditional medicine. In conclusion, there are routes that can be taken to guarantee the right to community health, with alliances and strategies that can be used to build collective interest plans that overcome the status quo. Giving yourself away and understanding the other is one of their fundamental principles to establish interpersonal relationships within their habitat. Similarly, identifying their cosmic and ancestral knowledge, which is the starting point within the knowledge of the Amazon rainforest, makes this conceptualization a treasury of the cosmogonic vision that the Coreguaje ancestors develop. Thus, their postulates can be ordered under three conceptions: the Chejaboebü, the relationship with nature, water, wind, thunder, the moon and the sun; the Chejasanaba, the relationship with the air and, the Chejasesebü, the relationship with the stars, atavistic positions that forge a philosophical dialogue manifested in the orality of their own knowledge. The historical avant-gardes showed that it is in the syntactic space where the mutations of art occur, where the creative potentialities in contemporary art are played. Hence the need to accentuate the syntactic creation registers in the works of the Estridentistas. There is no creation of images, rhythms, words, atmospheres, sound orientations, planes or political-literary postures that are valid apart from the syntax effects in which the poems of Manuel Maples Arce, Germán List, Salvador Gallardo and Kyn-Taniya take place, (...) the paintings, engravings and sculptures by Fermín Revueltas, Ramón Alva de la Canal, Germán Cueto and Leopoldo Méndez, the novels and essays by Arqueles Vela, the pieces from the Estridentista period by Silvestre Revueltas, the plays by Salvador Gallardo and Germán Cueto. The syntax is the tracing of indirect paths created in each poem, installation, plastic or musical work, to show life in things; those forces, paths and paths that, when going from life to language, create a work. It is, therefore, a speed. I don't use "speed" as a metaphor. It is the speeds that interdigitate events, images, objects; those that relate and stress semantic, sound, semiotic and social forces, paths and trajectories. Velocity is the gradient of the syntax, the relationship between phenomena, the variation of the elements according to a certain direction, the trajectory medium, the semantic loads and the systems of signs: it is not necessary to think that the syntactic effects are something like general mechanisms that precede poems, plastic and musical works. A new syntactic speed detaches itself as much as it can from what is constituted and seeks to bring poetic, pictorial, musical language to its threshold of meaning, informational or communication, to its referential, rhythmic, constructive threshold. In Bernhard's novel Correction, a Cambridge professor sets himself the task of building an ideal house for his sister in the middle of a forest. The projected house is a Cone with which he seeks to make the art of construction approach “philosophical art in the highest degree”. The lines of connection with the biography of Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951) are clear. Isn't it tempting to define Wittgenstein's philosophy with a simile of Loos' sweeping and cleaning operation in architecture and design? (...) I believe that Loos's critical stripping of the function/form/use triad served as an encouragement to Wittgenstein's thinking. For the philosopher, the meaning of a concept is in itself as rules of the game; it is nothing without its meaning and its meaning is nothing but its own use in the language games in which it may appear. A word, for example, becomes an interjection of assent by the game in which it appears, not by the form of the word. Wittgenstein thought that the greatest mistake of the philosophers of his generation, including G. E. Moore, was that when they analyzed language what they considered were word-forms and not the use made of those word-forms. How can one not find in these remarks of Wittgenstein's an echo of Loos's formula “meaning is use”? -/- En Corrección, la novela de Bernhard, un catedrático de Cambridge se da a la tarea de construir una casa ideal para su hermana en el centro de un bosque. Las líneas de conexión con la biografía de Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951) son claras. ¿No resulta tentador definir la filosofía de Wittgenstein con un símil de la operación de barrido y limpieza que realizó Loos en la arquitectura y el diseño? Creo que el despojamiento crítico que hizo Loos de la tríada función/forma/uso sirvió de aliento al pensamiento de Wittgenstein. Para el filósofo, el significado de un concepto está en él mismo como reglas del juego; no es nada sin su significado y su significado no es nada sino su propio uso en los juegos de lenguaje en que puede aparecer. Una palabra, por ejemplo, se convierte en interjección de asentimiento por el juego en que aparece, no por la forma de la palabra. Wittgenstein pensaba que el mayor error de los filósofos de su generación, incluido G. E. Moore, era que cuando analizaban el lenguaje lo que consideraban eran formas de palabras y no el uso que se hacía de esas formas de palabras. ¿Cómo no encontrar en estas observaciones de Wittgenstein un eco de la fórmula de Loos “el significado es el uso”? Philosophy, it is said, has always been concerned with space and nature. Since Aristotle, even since the pre-Socratics, and up to Descartes and Leibniz at least, no one was worthy of the title of philosopher if he had not written something about meteors. And not only about meteors: observations on the movements of the Earth and changes in nature, changes of state or speed, transitions and contacts between strange elements, spatial geometrical properties, the order of coexistences - their limits - (...) and the correspondences between scales; force and matter, constructive typologies and geomorphology were an indissoluble part of the philosophical field. It is not that philosophy reflected on these external themes, but that these themes formed the fabric of the philosophical body. What happened, then, between the end of the seventeenth century and the first half of the eighteenth century? How did the themes related to space and nature become diluted and disappear from philosophical discourses? It is not a question of the split between man and nature, ancient and incommensurable, but of the separation of nature itself, modern and discontinuous, by means of which it was placed alongside the barren, the inert, as a category. -/- La filosofía, se dice, se ocupó siempre de los espacios y de la naturaleza. Desde Aristóteles, incluso desde los presocráticos, y hasta Descartes y Leibniz por lo menos, nadie era digno del título de filósofo si no había escrito algo sobre los meteoros. No se trata de la escisión entre hombre y naturaleza, antigua e inconmensurable, sino de la separación de sí de la naturaleza misma, moderna y discontinua, por medio de la cual fue puesta al lado de lo yerto, lo inerte, como una categoría. Lezama, and later Deleuze, discovered that the baroque does not refer to an essence, but to an operative function. That operative function is the fold, which "curls and multiplies", as Lezama writes, and proliferates to infinity. We all know the examples with which Lezama placed his concept of the American baroque: the poems of Domínguez Camargo, those of Sor Juana, the architectures of the Kondori Indian, the baptismal fonts of Aleijadinho, "ornamented like accordions, with spiraloid leaves that ascend"; the chapel (...) of the Rosary, in Puebla, omamentada "without truce or free spatial parenthesis". This is how the fold operates, it is like a leprosy or a lichen -in the past, certain lichens were called leprosy-: it infests by enveloping and developing, it proliferates by setting in motion the fold-unfold pair. Lezama does not seek to reconfigure the sequences of history, but to superimpose other cycles on them, create gaps and vanishing points in chronological and causal narratives, divert the emphasis placed on cultures and redirect it to imaginary eras, until the meaning comes from a series of scales established in the historical. The eras would be ordered according to their potentiality to create images; thus it would be possible to establish the points where the image was imposed as history. The Carolingian imaginary era, for example, forged a link between the prodigies, the marvelous islands, the battles against the Saracens and theocratic reason. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Learning Compass 2030 for teachers emphasizes that cognitive, metacognitive skills, and emotional intelligence skills such as compassion, attentiveness, critical thinking, creativity, and communication are indirectly important to developing reading comprehension. Reading is a challenge for EFL students who have difficulties understanding written texts because of the lack of concentration, stress, and anxiety. Mindfulness appears as a practice that may offer some benefits. Recent studies show that mindfulness training can alleviate anxiety and stress, (...) improve confidence, improve cognitive and social abilities, and elevate academic goals. In this regard, this review synthesizes existing literature to evaluate the effectiveness of mindfulness in enhancing concentration in EFL reading comprehension classrooms and provide insights for educators, practitioners, and researchers. Criteria for selected articles were kept as recent as possible. All peer-reviewed papers were cited or published in scientific journals. This review suggests that mindfulness training has the potential to make learners more aware of their learning system. In addition, students learn to regulate their emotions to be more flexible and creative. Mindfulness training changes their point of view of their thinking in a way that encourages conscious control of their feeling, actions, and thoughts, improving cognitive abilities. (shrink)

Su marco teórico son los debates en torno a la teología política de Carl Schmitt y una contextualización del proceso de centralización y expansión de poderes eclesiales que se conoce como la reforma gregoriana. De forma general, se presentan las posiciones de ambos autores y sus diferencias como un modelo teológico político alternativo al de los canonistas (...) papales que defendían la supeditación casi total del poder temporal al espiritual en cuya cúspide estaba la figura del papa. Vehicle externalism maintains that the vehicles of our mental representations can be located outside of the head, that is, they need not be instantiated by neurons located inside the brain of the cogniser. But some disagree, insisting that ‘non-derived’, or ‘original’, content is the mark of the cognitive and that only biologically instantiated representational vehicles can have non-derived content, while the contents of all extra-neural representational vehicles are derived and thus lie outside the scope of the cognitive. In this paper (...) we develop one aspect of Menary’s vehicle externalist theory of cognitive integration—the process of enculturation—to respond to this longstanding objection. We offer examples of how expert mathematicians introduce new symbols to represent new mathematical possibilities that are not yet understood, and we argue that these new symbols have genuine non-derived content, that is, content that is not dependent on an act of interpretation by a cognitive agent and that does not derive from conventional associations, as many linguistic representations do. Resumen: El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo describir las estrategias semánticas o representaciones cognitivas que construyen los diarios chilenos El Mercurio y La Cuarta, acerca de la cultura mapuche, a propósito de la cobertura periodística otorgada a la huelga de hambre protagonizada por prisioneros de esta etnia. Para ello, estudiaremos las estrategias discursivas usadas por los diarios mencionados y su correlación con las macroestructuras periodísticas que las reflejan, para finalmente analizar la lexicalización en la configuración de la alteridad mapuche. Se (...) utiliza como metodología el Análisis Crítico del Discurso (ACD) -en relación con el cuadrado ideológico (Van Dijk, 1999) y la lexicalización- y el modelo de Velázquez (2011) para el estudio del discurso periodístico en cuanto a la superestructura y la macroestructura de la noticia. Se concluye que los diarios analizados utilizan estrategias semántico-cognitivas etnocéntricas y discriminadoras al dar forma al cuadrado ideológico y su polarización entre los Otros /Nosotros. Abstract: The objective of this paper is to describe the semantic strategies, or cognitive representations, that El Mercurio and La Cuarta, Chilean newspapers, create about mapuche culture, in relation to the press coverage given to the hunger strike organised by prisoners of this ethnic group. For this, the discursive strategies used by the newspapers mentioned before, and the representation of their interrelationship with the macrostructures in journalism, which finally aim to analyze the lexicalization in the configuration of the mapuche otherness, were studied. The methodology consists of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) -in relation to the ideological square (Van Dijk, 1999) and lexicalization- and the Velazquez’ model (2011) for the study of the journalist discourse related to the superstructure and macrostructure of news. As a conclusion, the newspapers analysed use semantic and cognitive strategies to discriminate based on ethnocentrism, giving it a specific ideological square and polarisation between Others and Us. Andy Clark and David Chalmers (1998) argue that certain mental states and processes can be partially constituted by objects located beyond one’s brain and body: this is their extended mind thesis (EM). But they maintain that consciousness relies on processing that is too high in speed and bandwidth to be realized outside the body (see Chalmers, 2008, and Clark, 2009). I evaluate Clark’s and Chalmers’ reason for denying that consciousness extends while still supporting unconscious state extension. I argue that their (...) reason is not well grounded and does not hold up against foreseeable advances in technology. I conclude that their current position needs re-evaluation. If their original parity argument works as a defence of EM, they have yet to identify a good reason why it does not also work as a defence of extended consciousness. I end by advancing a parity argument for extended consciousness and consider some possible replies. (shrink)

El estudio de la onomástica femenina de los Banū Marīn de Fez ha adolecido, por lo general, de un análisis profundo y monográfico, a pesar de la gran utilidad de dichos nombres para definir mejor distintos rasgos de la idiosincrasia de esta estirpe. El objetivo principal del presente trabajo es cubrir precisamente dicha laguna científica, ofreciendo un análisis tanto filológico como socio-cultural del amplio catálogo de nombres femeninos presentes en el árbol genealógico meriní, desde el rigor científico. Como se intentará (...) demostrar, tales denominaciones constituyen valiosos recursos para reconstruir la diversidad identitaria (étnica, geográfica, prosopográfica, cultural, etc.) no solo de este conjunto de mujeres, sino también de los soberanos con los que se relacionaron en distintas calidades familiares. Igualmente, tales nomenclaturas permiten identificar con una mayor precisión las estrategias de legitimación político-religiosa que esta estirpe diseñó tanto en el plano socio-cultural árabe como en el religioso islámico. In this article, we determine the congruences and we characterized the subdirectly irreducible \-algebras. From this last result we proved that \ is a discriminator variety and as a consequence we characterized the principal congruences. In the last part of this paper we find an immersion of these algebras in a functional algebra and we proved that in the finite case they are (...) isomorphic. This last result allows to show a new functional representation for monadic n-valued Łukasiewicz algebras. Finally, we define the notions of \-algebra of fractions and maximal algebra of fractions and we prove the existence of a maximal \-algebra of fractions for an \-algebra. (shrink)

In 2004, C. Sanza, with the purpose of legitimizing the study of \-valued Łukasiewicz algebras with negation -algebras) introduced \-valued Łukasiewicz algebras with negation. Despite the various results obtained about \-algebras, the structure of the free algebras for this variety has not been determined yet. She only obtained a bound for their cardinal number with a finite number of free generators. In this note we describe the structure of the free finitely generated \-algebras and we determine a formula to calculate (...) its cardinal number in terms of the number of free generators. Moreover, we obtain the lattice \\) of all subvarieties of \ and we show that the varieties of Boolean algebras, three-valued Łukasiewicz algebras and four-valued Łukasiewicz algebras are proper subvarieties of \. Las tecnologías se insertan en la innovación educativa, dando la posibilidad de incorporar herramientas digitales en los abordajes investigativos. En este escenario Scrivener y Evernote sonherramientas digitales para la escritura académica, permiten insertar notas escritas, notas de voz, resúmenes, documentos, imágenes, citas de autores, audios, links, entre otros. La formulación delproblema parte de la necesidad de incrementar investigaciones en todos los niveles educativos de forma fácil y automatizada. El objetivo de este estudio es reflexionar sobre el aporte significativo que poseen (...) las herramientas virtuales en la escritura académica. La metodología empleada está enmarcada dentro del paradigma cualitativo de tipo no experimental y documental, posee un muestreo probabilístico intencional de 57 fuentes documentales primarias que reúnen artículoscientíficos, libros, fuentes oficiales, informes técnicos, autores y organizaciones que respaldan las teorías de las herramientas digitales para sustentar de forma científica el artículo. La conclusiónradica en que las herramientas Scrivener y Evernote generan un aporte significativo al desarrollo de la escritura académica, logrando contribuir al impulso de la publicación de artículos académicos y científicos que, asociados a las tecnologías de la información y comunicación, promueven el desarrollo de este tipo de comunidades investigativas, para lograr una mayor optimización de recursos intelectuales como un desafío para potenciar la cultura académica. El propósito de este trabajo es mostrar por qué la melancolía ocupa un lugar privilegiado en nuestro acervo cultural. Después de más de dos mil quinientos años, sigue despertando un creciente interés como testimonian las diversas muestras dedicadas a esta afección milenaria, la profusión de ensayos o los diversos congresos que han abordado esta temática. En nuestro recorrido analizaremos algunas de las razones que hacen de la melancolía un término rico, ambiguo y complejo, nos remontaremos a la protohistoria del concepto, (...) consideraremos los textos fundacionales que lograron que llegase a ser considerada una característica central de la condición humana y, finalmente, esbozaremos, a partir de los interrogantes que Kristeva plantea a propósito de Lo perecedero, de Freud, la relación entre belleza y melancolía.
